Re: Goodbye Basic Buckets in Canada

(...) I'm not sure about this...swung by the local TRU's last night, and all of them have restocked the classic buckets, classic boxes, and 1200 piece tubs in the post-Christmas stock recovery. This isn't a 'pull from the back' either, they're all (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.basic, lugnet.loc.ca)

Blue 6 compartment Case, Red 9 Compartment Case

I purchased 4 copies of a K-Mart Value Pack a while ago that had a 9 compartment storage case. I know they had a blue 6 compartment case set a while back as well. Does anybody know what sets have these cases? I am wanting to get about 64 or so of (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.general, lugnet.basic)

  Is BASIC gone for 2000?

I´ve browsed the BrickShelf scans, and can´t find them there. Are they gone, or do they still exist? --Tobias (25 years ago, 15-Jan-00, to lugnet.basic)

  Re: Classic Christmas set?

(...) 1276, (...) They have several of these sets at the local KB Kids retail outlet near my office near Portland Oregon. It could well be the 1298 set, as I didn't write the number down, but I'm fairly certain it's 1276. The price may have been (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.basic)

Re: Grimace is Violet, like DUPLO Dinos (was: Re: McDonalds Info)

I mentioned this a week or two ago in a Mcdonalds thread. My local McDonalds has a display with all 8 sets. Imperial Violet is my Holy Grail of lego colors and it is finally available. (Limited though, pity.) Here is hoping for a Black, Imperial (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.basic)

  Re: Classic Christmas set?

(...) Where did you find this? This may be different from the 1298 set that has been around here. (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.basic)

Eric McCarthy wrote in message <382A29A0.277D@aol.com>... (...) Sub) (...) I don't think that's the same color as what Todd is calling Violet here. That color (just based on the catalog pictures, I don't actually have that set) looks way too bright. (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.basic)

  Re: Classic Christmas set?

(...) Okay, I must've been overwhelmed by the Pokemon fumes or something; set 1276, the LEGO(TM) Advent Calendar. 24 LEGO prizes, for US$12.99. The Cheese, who wishes there were toy stores without screaming chilren. (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.basic)

Re: Grimace is Violet, like DUPLO Dinos (was: Re: McDonalds Info)

(...) There's another piece that is an interesting dark bluish purplish color. See the plate used for the vanity table top in #5805 Princess Rosaline's Room. Does that match any of the above? /Eric McCarthy/ (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.basic)

I just picked up a couple of #5's today, and that new color (violet) is awesome! I hope they make lots of pieces in that color. (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.basic)

Grimace is Violet, like DUPLO Dinos (was: Re: McDonalds Info)

(...) OK -- got it! It's not blue, and it's not purple, and it's not even indigo -- but in fact it's violet -- the same exact hue as the new DUPLO Dinosaur. :) Waycool! Here's a webpage from April showing a comparison of LEGO "purples"... (URL) it (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.basic)

  Classic Christmas set?

I saw this at the KB Kids retail store near the office today, and was intrigued, to say the least. I feel ashamed that I did not note the set number, but it was priced at US$60 which was out of my spending range. Any input? -Cheese (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.basic)

Re: The Best Basic Sets (725/730)
