    some teasers —Thomas Jost
hello all, I've been lurking around here for quite some time now. One or the other of you might have been contacted by me for questions or so...well, here I am as I just can't wait until I'm done with what I've been building now for quite a time, (...)         Re: some teasers —Soren Roberts
Wow. This is great. I love this ship, it's so well detailed, and it's not even finished yet! I can't wait to see the final model. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 25-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) I'm glad you like the ship. I want to show you the finished work as soon as possible - but job and school are calling for some of my time... Thanks for your comments. (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

        Re: some teasers —Jon Palmer
One small note: I've noticed it's a good idea to make a post to both announce.moc *and* .space, with the follow-up to .space as usual. I know sometimes that if the first post is not in .space it can get a bit lost. As for your stuff..this is great! (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

         Re: some teasers —Thomas Jost
Hi Jon, ah, I'm glad you like the cryo-chamber. I always liked that cryo-travelling idea so much that I simply had to do such thing in my ship... Er, this might be a silly question, but: what are those follow-ups for? I'm very pleased to join .space (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: some teasers —John Henry Kruer
(...) I believe that they are made so somebody can cross-post a message into multiple groups but only get replies in one, either because of lack of relevence, too many groups, or other reasons. In lugnet.announce.moc, I believe the reason you have (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

         Re: some teasers —Thomas Jost
(...) hey John, thanks for the explanation. It's very nice here how one gets some help as a new poster... (...) I worked rather hard on the engine and think that it came out quite well - I'm glad one can see the "heavy-duty-military"-look... (...) (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

         Re: some teasers —Thomas Jost
(...) thanks for your kind words, Paul. The reception here is very encouraging. I'm glad to be here at least! Actually the engine was the part that came to my mind first when I started this project. The thing was that I had lots of those round white (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

        Re: some teasers —Gil Shaw
That's a really original ship in the making, Thomas. I quite like the look of the reactor section - expanding the circumference of the cylinder with the slopes makes the shape a little more beefy. The wheel within a wheel looks great as well. As Jon (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

        Re: some teasers —Thomas Jost
(...) thanks, I'm glad you like the design. I have to admit that as far as the idea of the overall shape of the ship is concerned I got a little bit of inspiration from a ship I always liked so much: It's the Sulaco from Aliens. (...) Pleased to (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)
