  New MOC- The Nightshadow

Here's a new MOC I just finished. Nobody else has done black and dark red, so I did it! :) This is supposed to be a sort of sportsy 1-man spacecraft. folder: (URL) shot: (URL) open: (URL) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space)

Very very neat! Jeremy - not one to normally respond to PLMKWYT unless the MOC is really cool. (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) John, Very nice, you've fit a lot of good detail into a compact ship. I like the way it appears to flow together. Thanks, George (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

John, That has a nice look to it! I like the swept back wings and tilted cockpit. It looks like a gliding bird. (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) Dude! And you said (a while back) that you wouldn't have any good pics of any good MOCs posted online. I think that is one of the coolest looking little personal craft I have seen in a while. The sleek angles and wings match my image of what a (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

Looking good John....very swooshable! I think this is the first MOC you've done without SNOT :) Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) Hey, thanks Sean! I took me about an hour, not including last-minute additions just before I took pictures. It began as a speeder, but it grew wings... -JHK (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks, Jeremy! That makes me feel extra priviliged... -JHK (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) Thanks! It just started with the cockpit hanging off some of the dark red wedges, and then it just flowed on... that's when Lego building gets truly fun. -JHK (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) Thanks, Dave! That was the look I tried to get after it sprouted wings... I've always liked that look. Small spaceships, in my mind, should be able to fly without using 'impossible' technology like anti-gravity. -JHK (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) Well, things have changed! :) I guess all the begging to my dad paid off... (...) Thanks! Yeah, I would agree about the spiffcraft and pods- while wonders of Lego imagination, they would not be very practicle. Though look who's talking, my (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) Thanks Gil! It is really fun to swoosh this... it always accompanies me to breakfest, lunch and dinner. (...) Well... Wait! The engines! They are mounted SNOT! :-) Kudos to you for the canopy idea in your Bodkin model. It really helps seal off (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) Heheh. Cool. :) (...) Actually, my take on it was that it might be at the same imaginary scale as most TLC system sets. At that scale, Town automobiles might hold only one or two mini-figs, but they represent cars that in real life hold more. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

Wow, I never thought I would get feedback from the great Paul Hartzog! :-) Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, I really like the clean feel, so many of my other MOCs are dirty and industrial, so I really like the break to a clean design. This has to (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

Nice job John. It looks good, and is clean. If I ever made a clean ship it'd be a miracle what with the dust from the shelves above and my curious cat. I'm trying to redo the ship i have in construction right now because of all the junk in it. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

Thanks, Jamie! I like the swept back wings alot, too. It gives it a sort of 'swoopishness.' All these replies so late... it's fun. :) -JHK (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC- The Nightshadow

(...) I did? Oh yeah, I guess I did. : ) (...) When I find a way to take pics, I have a few MOCs to show. Yeah, I had too much dust flying around in the ship (no pun intended) that I had to take the bottom out to clean. Hasta la Vista, Sean (...) (22 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)
