The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —brent skadan
Those crazy engineers at FreiTek have come up with a heavily modified scout version of the E-Wing fighter, the RE-Wing. It measures in at 12 meters long (using 6 studs = 1 meter) with a wing span of 9 meters. It has two custom heavy thrust fusion (...)         Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —Jeff Findley
I'm not usually a fan of larger than minifig scale spacecraft, but this one is very nice. Lots of SNOT, lots of angles with seemless edges, and classic colors. The back of the craft, landing gear, and wing tip cannon designs are nicely done in Star (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

(...) Lights! Yeah, you know that is a great idea. Thank you for your comments, B. (20 years ago, 29-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —Douglas R. Clark
(...) From a technical/construction perspective I really like the model. I really like how you were able to make all the angles mate-up cleanly as well as the ablilty to skin the entire model in tiles. I also like how you implemented the cockpit (...)          Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —brent skadan
Thank you for your comments. I agree with you on the tile aspect - I wish Lego did make larger tiles. The only ones I know of are from their Scalia series and they only come in lime green and orange (as well as being very hard to find). I also, (...) Despite that, the color scheme is very tight. Others have commented on the (...) (20 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —brent skadan
(...) Thank you! (...) The engines do look kinda wonky -- I admit that they were rushed. I may place them on the wing, like how they are on the actual E-wing. Thanks, B. (20 years ago, 29-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —Niels Bugge
(...) Well, It wasn't at all nice of you to tease us so long with pictures on Brickshelf, but I like the result very much: It's nice to see that you uphold the usual standard in your macrofig models even when trying to walk new paths. My only (...) (20 years ago, 30-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —brent skadan
(...) Thanks, it took so long because I am involved in research project at school that is taking more time then I have interest in. Plus I got married so that also required a break from Lego (though I did not mind that one). (...) The wing supports (...) (20 years ago, 31-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

(...) Congratulations!! (...) Or your vandal cat... I guess the supports are OK then, I just never really have seen an authorized E-wing, only concept art, so what do I know about that... (...)         Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —Matthew Roberts
Such a nice model Bruce, I have been watching it on Brickshelf througout it's construction, one of the more interesting projects recently completed. Even though it doesn't exist as a real SW model,,, ;9 - Matthew (20 years ago, 31-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: The RE_wing. A recon version of the E-Wing fighter —brent skadan
(...) Thank you, and I hope I have not irritated anybody by posting a SW inspired model rather then a replica of one in the star wars NG. Thank you! Brent (20 years ago, 31-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)
