Arguably the best fighter available today, the S-97 was designed and built by
the famous "Sukhoi" aerospace company. Four liquid-fuel rocket pods, and a
single ram-jet engine can propel the craft to incredible supersonic speeds. One
dorsal-mounted radome keeps track of all hostile enemy ships, fighters, and
projectiles. Two, fire-linked, turret-mounted rail guns provide short-range
firepower. Twelve multi-purpose missiles allow the S-97 to cause incredible,
long-range, destruction. The fighter is operated by one pilot and one gunner.
Limited atmospheric flight can also be achieved, but at great risk to the crew.

| I really like the shape of this....the elegance of the form really captures the anime feel, yet the blunt nose speaks a little to it's eastern block ancestry. I'd love to see it in a minifig scale.... Cool. Cheers, -G (...) (23 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

| woah sweet Mladen! That is such a cool fighter! awesome shape, and the main guns up front own! The intake in the belly is nice too! :-) Sweet colours as well, the light blue near the back is awesome, and oo the engines! nice! Very cool model as (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.space)
