Cathedral of Ice - In the ABS! (Posted for Brad Hamilton) —Kevin Wilson
Note: Due to a technical problem, Brad Hamilton is unable to post and asked me to post this for him. A little over a year ago, I designed a virtual cathedral using MLCAD that caused quite a stir. Thanks to some recent set re-introductions from LEGO, (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build, lugnet.town) !!

(...) It's great to see this in plastic, and the story is wonderful, if irreverent. :-) Amy (22 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Niiice! I really like the design, and all of the arches. Just a question here? Was bricklink used to acquire all of those white bricks and clear panels?! How long did it take to build it? Just my two brickz <<_Matt Hein_>> Lugnet member No. 1112 (22 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Hi, Most of the clear curved panels came from 6 copies of Breezeway Cafe. The straight clear panels came from LEGO parts packs. The rest of the bricks came from various sets as well as BrickLink. For example, almost all the 1x1x1 round white bricks (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Wonderful! Excellent use of your imagination to place the little touches (vaulting, organ) that make this very realistic! Question - where did you get the keyboard decal for the organ keyboard? Congratulationson a job well-done! I wish I could see (...) (22 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Thanks The keyboard is from the old (and wonderful) idea book 6000. This is my favorite idea book of all time. I was so happy when I found that I still had a copy of this sticker. Luckily, I had the forethought when I was 11 (or around there) to (...) (22 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

Somebody pick me up! I've fallen and can't get up! Words escape me on this MOC, so I just simply fell over, out of breath, and stunned at how small plastic bricks can create the MAGNIFICENT, BEAUTIFUL, DETAILED, EXQUISITE, EXTRAORDINARY, BREATH (...)      Brad, thanks for sharing another great creation with us. Magnificent construction as always, and an amusing write-up to boot.      Thanks for the compliments "Reverend." Perhaps the priest from your "church of evil" could do a guest lecture in my cathedral?
