Hi again.

Cars cars cars - one day I must build a building.

Inspired by Robert McLean's minifig HZ ute (whose mirror design I've also
used here), and Braith's call to 'keep the Australiana coming', I built a
minifig scale FJ Holden.

This one became even more of a half stud offset nightmare than the bug, but
I just had to get that middle section 5 studs wide. I'm not quite happy with
the rear roof section, but I think the bonnet turned out particularly well.

For the non-Australians out there, there's a concise histor of the vehicle here:

Now the pics:

I have built this in real Lego but I'm still not yet blessed with a decent
camera, so CAD it is.

Cheers
Allister

(...) that makes two of us:) (...) Wow! Nice car...nice DETAILED car! I love the look of classic cars, but Lego is not ideally suited to do the curves, I thought. I was wrong. Really good job all around. I am really impressed. Joe Meno (21 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)

Beautiful, hope to see it in the flesh/ABS one day soon. I really like the harpoons as bumpers, and the lightsabres too. I must hurry along and make some numberplates for these things... (...) (21 years ago, 23-Apr-03, to lugnet.town)
