Introducing the Sawnee Mountain Coal Company coal tripple.
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=52488

The name 'tipple' is derived from the time when men would push carts full of
coal to the bunker and tip them over for dumping.
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=52492

Three tracks are serviced here.
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=52491

A power house, the place where a small steam engine generates electricity to
run the machinery of the tipple, is provided as is a small storage shed.

The coal is sent down a main shoot and then via a set of levers is directed
to the appropriate track were the hoppers cars wait to be loaded.

This model is FANTASTIC! I saw it on Brickshelf after posting my train station. Do you have more detail shots? This building has so many small details and I feel like I can't really see them all. Brad James J. Trobaugh <james@ngltc.org> wrote in (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Wow. That is hands down the best rendition of an industrial structure I have seen yet. You managed to selective compress very nicely and yet kept the proportions *and* the sense of purpose. Wow. Did I say that already? Well, tough. Wow. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
