Yes, I will be bringing this model to Brickfest, actually the fest was the
motivating factor in getting it finished this month. Maybe I can build some
more hoppers by then also.

Sorry I don’t have any more detailed shots of the facility (if you knew the
backwards system of capturing video with an old Targa card that I'm using,
you’d be amazed that those 8 pictures worked out at all), I’m hoping that at
Brickfest someone with a nice digital camera can get some better shots of
the details.

Glad everyone likes it, I was very proud of this model, it turned out pretty
much as planned.

Introducing the Sawnee Mountain Coal Company coal tripple.

The name 'tipple' is derived from the time when men would push carts full of
coal to the bunker and tip them over for dumping.

Three tracks are serviced here.

A power house, the place where a small steam engine generates electricity to
run the machinery of the tipple, is provided as is a small storage shed.

The coal is sent down a main shoot and then via a set of levers is directed
to the appropriate track were the hoppers cars wait to be loaded.

Now I just need to build a coal mine to go with it :)

James,

This model rocks! I love it... I guess you need more hoppers now?
Is there room in the car for this one? I'd like to see it in action at
BrickFest?

Build on...

Jt This is my second post of appreciation, sorry, Jennifer Clark got the first. This is an outstanding rendition, I mean hey, even ++Lar said WOW, nuf said. My first thought was it reminded me of a kit I built as a kid for my N-scale layout. When (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
