  Re: Which camera?

(...) Specifically, make sure you get one that does all the above in streaming webcam mode. The most valuable tool in stop-mo animation is onion-skinning. This generally only works in "webcam" mode, in my experience. I use a Logitech QuickCam Pro (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.animation)

Re: Lewa in Exo Toa Zaps Makuta

(...) Thanks for the kind words! It was all luck. I started with a pic that had fortuitous lighting: (URL) initial thought was just to add a lens flare using PhotoImpact (www.ulead.com). After a lot of fiddling around I added lightning: (URL) then I (...) (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.animation)

(...) And of course how you created the zap effect. I can quite easily create the fireball (I did a smaller version in my film Glowing Orbs) but the lightning stumps me. You didn't draw each part by hand, did you?! ~Mike (21 years ago, 27-Nov-03, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

(...) really cool - to me - how the slowness of the effects actually makes the segment seem longer than it is. Most folks who would show off a clip that short would have something that just went ZIP! and you wouldn't really now what you'd seen. The (...)
