News from the Animated Brick Company

To anyone who might have tried to access my website (The ABC Showcase) recently from the links here at LUGNET I have the bad news to share that nbci.com terminated my account. I had thought that the inaccessibility of my site for a couple of weeks (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jun-01, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.general)

?Reward for first feature length movie?

An idea. It may encourage people to create one, or hurry up in the process. It's sort of like the "X-Prize," which is an award for the first people to make a space craft with no government money and make it reusable. It's about $10 mil Just an idea (...)   Re: The file is...

Try Quicktime. My digital still camera records silent movies in a weird compressed format only Quicktime will open. You'll probally have to save it to disk. -- Chef/Dan/Bubba Bear ICQ:84584424 AIM: Jedi101673 (URL) <jasonrowoldt@yahoo.com> wrote in (...)   Found the Rabbit (it was Belville not Duplo)

With a little poking around here on LUGNET I was able to find the rabbit figure that I vaguely remembered having seen in a set before. Turns out that it wasn't in a Duplo set but rather was found in the Belville theme (set 5824 specifically). Thanks (...)   Same Film, Different Codec

For those who had trouble with the other video file, try this one. It's only 7 MB, too. If this doesn't work, I may have to try Quicktime (ugh, I hate Quicktime!). BTW, right-clicking the link and choosing "save target as" generally works better (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.animation)

Re: New Lego Film - a Teaser

I'm sorry about the difficulties some people seem to be having with the player. I'm just using the old Windows 98 avi player, and have no trouble. I'm re-exporting it with a different codec right now and will have it up shortly. -- Paul Davidson (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.animation)

Re: New Lego Film - a Teaser

(...) apparently had much more severe problems. I downloaded it with MSIE and Netscape, and each succeeded in crashing the program when it was done downloading and tried to play. I then tried Nathan's approach and saved it to my hard drive, and (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.animation)

Re: New Lego Film - a Teaser

Well done! It makes me want to see more, like a teaser should. But if you put work into a long project, sound would be good. I had some trouble viewing it though, I couldn't get it to go at all using the link, so I saved the file to my computer. (...)   New Lego Film - a Teaser

Hi, I've made my first "polished" Lego movie and am submitting it for the pleasure of Lugnetters. It's a teaser for a longer project yet to come, and is 49 seconds in length. I haven't added any music or sound effects...I may do so later. Filesize (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.animation)
