I'd like to say that anyone who follows toy collecting *at all* on the web
knows that sneak peaks, photos, scans, etc. are the norm, not the exception,
in general. Why, there are literally dozens of web sites dedicated to
sneaking early pictures and information about Star Wars collectibles.
Nobody could care less about scans of dealer catalogs, they're commonplace
and usually old news.
Rather than hurt anybody, this has been more instrumental than anything in
helping toy companies to realize the online potential and to work *with* web
sites rather than *against*. This excitement does wonders for marketing and
word-of-mouth. Nothing is intended to hurt the companies -- these are not
the companies' competitors doing this, it's their customers. C'est la vie.
:)
Not pushing any ethics here, just giving a healthy dose of reality.
