There are a number of us that disagree with that viewpoint and feel that
posts of that sort, while not welcome in the themed groups, should go to
buy-sell-trade and NOT to brickshops. But arguing the point when someone is
trying to be helpful and give guidance is the wrong thing to do, so I've
ref'ed, not followed up, the posts in question.
But as it stands now, it's ambiguous where it should go as has been clearly
demonstrated.
I'd prefer to be ruled against, definitively, with the charter changed in
both newsgroups to make it crystal clear what goes where, to the current
ambiguity. Of course I'd much more strongly prefer that the ambiguity be
cleared up with a resolution in the correct direction, but I'm sure both
sides would agree either resolution would be better than neither resolution
and the ambiguity remaining...
I realise this isn't the most pressing problem facing LUGNET but hopefully
it's an easy one to fix.
