Hello! Sorry for revitalising an aged thread... (...) The main problem with the database probably is its strict limitation to numbers. While I like set numbers and actually prefer them over set names (because numbers are universal while names differ (...) Hmm, it seems more and more folks are creating FTX posts with FTX hard new lines without a real new line. If these are being created in the web editor, could it reasonably force a real new line? (...) I don't think I'd change FTX-- I think I'd vote for an FTX->plain text converter, and run that on any FTX posts. Then, when someone requests the post via NNTP or SMTP, that's the post they get. (...) Interesting. There's a few hits to it in the http log, which all come up as status 200 (OK), but strangely it looks like yours came up with a SLIGHTLY smaller byte count. Note that I am logged in with my official Lugnet posting enabled, so it's possible the additional administrative features are causing a problem. Ok just checked a few things, (...)
