 | | Some suggestions

I know I've made these in the past, but I don't have time to dig up the original threads, so I'll just repost the suggestions for reference in the new list: Have a way for a member to view a list of all un-authenticated posts. What I meant was that Admins should give preference to explaining something rather than 'keeping it a secret' if you will, but whether or not they actually should tell something should be left up to them, especially if it involves a sensitive (...) (...) NOOOO! It will then show up whenever you browse Space. For people who don't care about Mecha but do care about Space, it makes the Web interface less useful. It's bad enough that many of the .mecha posters crosspost everything to .space as it (...) (21 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

How about if the FTX-to-HTML filter is run at the time of posting, rather than at the time of rendering, and it could be stored on the NNTP server as a multipart/alternative with 3 parts: FTX, HTML, and a plain-text version (generated from the (...) | | Suggestion - locate my recent posts and/or replies to same
|

I don't have much time for LUGNET any more, so every once in a while I surf over to the Web interface and browse a few threads - generally ones that were in the top 10 list on the home page, or maybe delve into a couple of particular groups. (...) No, it (technically) wasn't an official post since it wasn't officially signed. But since the list is modifying content in the admin area, the list is official, as far as it goes, it's officially the best list we have, until it's improved, at (...) That seemed clear to me at the time, was it not what you thought it meant? I can add a Status Key, (...) (21 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

(...) Just one question - there's a couple there with (??) after the status, can you give more info what that means? Maybe a better way would just be to leave them at "Open" until the status is not in question? ROSCO (21 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

While we're at it, how 'bout a more-powerful search feature?
