Just to expound on this one, some other things that have been brought up in the
past for suggestions to 'advanced search':
- Search *only* the heads of threads
- Search by post author (name, member id, and/or email address)
- Search post subject only
- Include/Exclude a specific list of newsgroups from a search (right now you can
search everything, or one group at a time)
- Date range (currently this is supported, but is sort of obfuscated, and is
relative to the present date)
- Search only highlighted/spotlighted posts
- Remove http from list of stopwords (or perhaps only include if it's part of
message content)
- Search posts you've read/haven't read (when read/unread marks are implimented)
- Search post "folders" (when implimented)
- Include off-topic.test (or any other groups currently skipped) when explicitly
searching that group.

| While we're at it, how 'bout a more-powerful search feature? Maybe to let one search for a particular phrase (i.e., "dismal failure" as opposed to all posts with "dismal" and "failure" in them), date range searching, wildcards, etc. James Wilson (...)
