Because .people is still hetero-assumed. Just like every other group in the
entirety of LUGNET. It’s the same reason why we have Black History Month,
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Secretary’s Day, when every day of the year
is about whites, kids, and bosses.

Maybe this is how you go through life, viewing the world, Dave, but don’t sit
there for a second and say that’s how everyone does. And really, let’s all feel
guilty that we have common sense and common sense usually helps us determine
what is normal and what isn’t. It’’s ridiculous. Tell people to work for a
color-blind society and then start doing things that force people to look at
things by skin color. Tell people gender doesn’t matter then start all these
programs that are based on peoples’ gender.
