This is where I goofed: I started from the LUGNET main page
(www.lugnet.com), looking for information regarding BrickBay's server being
down. Scrolling down, under MARKET, I saw "Buy/Sell" as one of only 6
choices, and it seemed to make the most sense at the time. After clicking
there, I found a thread regarding the topic, and hopped right on. Only
after you had brought it to my attention did I realize that I was using the
"Newsgroup Shortcuts", and that there are in fact more sub-categories by
starting at the "Newsgroup" link at the top of the page. I really did (and
do) appreciate this tip, because I too would like to keep topics primarily
where they belong, and avoid having LUGNET posts become messier than needed.

Point taken; though I would like to beleive that the last 3 goals listed
were in reference to (and created solely for) LP, my response to his post
would completely justify a reference to me as well.
I feel the need to reiterate: My post was directed soley at the one
immediately preceeding it, with the exception of my sincere "thanks" to you.
I got a hostile vibe from the post I refer to, not from yours. I fell into
the use of veiled (or unveiled) hostility directed back at that poster
specifically.

I agree (with the previous sentence). :) I share the same hopes, though
reaching such a goal will probably require my application of GREAT restraint
from replying (with hostility - veiled or unveiled) to the possible
follow-up posts from LP. If he is reading this and applying the same
restraint, then there is hope for LUGNET after all.
Happy New Year!
Best Wishes,
