  Member info on LUGNET?

G'day Todd & Suzanne, I've noticed something with the latest incarnation of the LUGNET home page. I cannot find an easy way to look up other LUGNET members. There is a link that pulls up everybody, I think in "chronological" order. But there used (...) (26 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Trailing Slashes (Re: Stick in the mud...)

(...) That's what I heard too. Hmm. That jives with my findings from MSIE3 long ago -- it was confused about the coloring. But here, this is an even worse bug. Steve, what version of MSIE are you seeing this with? The thing is, if you've never (...) (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Trailing Slashes (Re: Stick in the mud...)

(...) In cases where there isn't a redirection, it shouldn't do anything fancy to it. How would that not fix the issue? Maybe I misunderstood the problem. I thought you were saying that IE stores (URL) and (URL) as (URL) and (URL) in the history. (...) (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Trailing Slashes (Re: Stick in the mud...)

(...) That wouldn't fix the issue with LUGNET, because LUGNET doesn't redirect san-trailing-slash hits. Steve (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) Excellent point. If it were not for ambiguity and not asking stupid questions, there would be no instruction archive. KL (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Trailing Slashes (Re: Stick in the mud...)

(...) It's a technical bug. :) It's alright for IE to generally assume that they are the same for the purposes of making a history, but it's wrong to use a mechanism that doesn't work if they're different. Web servers generally return a 301 Moved (...) (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: (cancelled)-why

(...) From me: first, I decided my post was trivial and a bit too pedantic for .lego.direct. So I got rid of it. Then, I made a post with a big grammatical error renderinging it hard to understand. So I superseded it. (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: The 2001 lineup (list on FBTB)

(...) Be careful what you wish for. You work for IBM, you know how large corporations are, once you ask for a definitive statement it often comes out very restrictive. Sometimes ambiguity is better. (even if it's unpleasant for the audience at home (...) (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Trailing Slashes (Re: Stick in the mud...)

(...) Technically, yes. Human-factors-wise, no -- most people see them as the same. Steve (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: There's no such thing as a bad MOC builder (was: Re: New MF model.)

(...) <GRIN> Who, me? There might be one or two areas where I think myself above average but I can name lots where I would stink, were I to try. (Mecha come to mind, for one) (...) Ya, these two points are really the best way to go as it were. (...) (26 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
