Hi Todd, Suz and everyone else, I have a suggestion for the web interface. I've noticed lately that some people are annoyed by threads that (In their opinion) don't fit in the group. I've also noticed that when I come to a large, active group (say (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.general)

Personally, I find that using a USENET client (like Outlook Express, even) for Lugnet is far quicker and easier. Collapsable and expandable threads and all the other organization perks are built in that way. -- Paul Davidson Shiri (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Yeah, but its a major pain when the threads jump groups. I used to read using Netscape Messenger, but it was too annoying, so I switched to the web interface. The only problem I have now is figuring out where I was when I read on different (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Yeah - I have a 15 year timeout on links, basically just so that I know what I've read! It's annoying when I switch between Linux and Win95 though, if my win partition wasn't drive-spaced then I'd try linking my linux history file, cookie file (...) (...) It would be nice, but that functionality already exists in numerous newsreaders. In Forte's Agent software, I just press 'I' to ignore a thread, and I'm never bothered by it again. I'd rather see Todd and Suz spend time on Lugnet-specific (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Me too. Even though I use the web interface exclusively, and those features would be nice, I CAN get them with a different interface. I would prefer to see Todd & Suzanne's put their time towards Lugnet functional tasks rather than (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
