John, which newsreader do you use?
I use Free Agent, and I solve the problem by having a separate instance of the
program set up with the long line lengths needed for posting.
So if I want to post a DAT, I just click on the posting shortcut, and it opens
a new instance of the newsreader with only the dat groups available. I then
post and close it.
Not perfect, but it works. And it keeps me from posting with the wrong line
lengths.
