The current system for updating the scan library is obviously not working,
but I have a fix:
Soon anyone with a Brickshelf account will be able to upload to the scan
library. I’m still working on the details for how to handle them after they
are uploaded.
One possibility is to move them to a master account. This will put all of the
scans in one location like they are today. The other possibility is to leave
them in the uploaders account and simply use the search function to access them.
This would make browsing less convenient but would enable uploaders to maintain
their scans more easially. It would also enable multiple versions of the same
scan to exist without conflict or complicated naming/organization structure.
