Re: paid fee 3 months ago, still waiting to become member!!

(...) No account for me either, should either disable applications and refund the money or process the membership applications. I'm not happy about no info on whats going on either. (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Announcing new Legend!

(...) Jake has told me, and I believe he's told the group here on LUGNET, that Consumer Affairs *does* track this information and *does* relay it to the appropriate department. But, I suppose that might not be good enough for people who "can never (...) (20 years ago, 8-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.admin.general)

Re: paid fee 3 months ago, still waiting to become member!!

Me too.. but not an explanation or apology for the long wait. I dont care about the lousy 10 dollars, this is just no way to treat people. I dont understand why becoming a member has to take this long. If Todd or whoever deals with these things is (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

paid fee 3 months ago, still waiting to become member!!

This is getting a little ridiculous. Paid the membership fee on February 11th and still havent heard a thing from Lugnet. Sent 3 e-mails to different addresses, no reply at all. What the #%$! is going on here? Arjan. (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: disk failure [padding,padding,padding,padding,padding,padding]

(...) Hello?? <Waves hands, jumps up and down.> This (automatically generated) post (URL) nuts. Note that 10020 is not a recently-added set, and 1092 was recently added but is not noted. Also, News-by-Mail Subscriptions have not been posted since (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Color Change - Final Update

(...) True, but the only two things we've heard so far were that people were complaining that those three colors didn't "match" the rest of the color pallete, and that focus groups agreed. Not only is the idea that the old grey/brown colors match (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Suggestion for thread tree viewing

At the moment, threads of more than 100 postings suppress the tree of blue/maroon squares, which is very helpful for navigating. Is the format fixed, or could very large threads split themselves, to cut off large branches (of more than 5 or 10 (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Color Change - Final Update

(...) Just because you and some others don't accept that Marketing thought it was a good idea to change the colors doesn't make it not the "real reason". (...) I'm sure that some people within the company thought it was a bad idea. But those people (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: disk failure

(...) What it SHOULD be saying is the standard "server is busy due to heavy load, try again later" message and Todd has indicated he's fixed/changed it... presumably he'll post about it here soon. (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

In lugnet.admin.general, Dave Schuler wrote: (snip) It's not just you, Dave! I got this when trying to post, then a bit later, when trying to view a random post in the thread. It's pretty weird. I sent a note to Todd about it, so hopefully he'll (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: disk failure

(...) I don't know if this is of any significance, but while posting a stunningly witty message in the "Color Change/Final Answer" thread, I hit the PREVIEW button and wound up on a screen with this information: 6:30pm EST Wed 28 Apr 2004 Data (...)   Re: disk failure

(...) This post (URL) that there were no LUGNET Guide updates on Wednesday. That is wrong. For example, (URL) added to the Guide. Additionally, set 7918 is named "{Green Basketball Player}" but a search of the LUGNET Guide for "basketball" does not (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: disk failure

(...) That must've been the disk in the process of dying... Enough stuff cached in RAM to run and provide basic functionality, but not enough to handle the non-constantly-accessed functions. Thanks for the data points. --Todd (20 years ago, 28-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: disk failure

(...) I noticed Lugnet was down for a while at about 5:00ish GMT. When it came back up there was no traffic on the traffic page, i.e. no reported posting, even for the last 7 days, everthing else seemed to work as far as I tested it. I didn't (...)   disk failure

The LUGNET production server (still the older server, hosted at Pair Networks) suffered a disk failure today at what appears to be, according to the logs, 11:30am EST.
