BTW, here's a quick comparison showing file sizes when the same view is rendered for different intended viewing sizes: (URL) reason theyre not all the same file size, even though its all vector graphics, is because at smaller intended viewing (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Me too. Although that approach certainly has its downsides in cases like NELUG, which officially covers a 5-state area but 99% of the activity occurs within 20 miles of Boston. (...) Nifty stuff. One thing I liked about the old approach was that the "areas of influence" of clubs could be arbitrary geometry. There is no circle center and diameter that will include all of certain club's areas of influence while not (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.admin.general)
