I'd be much obliged if everyone could
restore my subject title once it goes wonky!

Why? That is, why should they?

Why should they!?!
I never said anybody ‘should!’
I jus’ said that I'd be grateful if they corrected the malady…that’s all.

Thus, the question is why does it appear to occur randomly?

It's not random, it's when the post is reposted by someone that
doesn't have access to all the wonky characters you use.

So it isn’t like I'm submitting faulty text!
Somewhere down the line someone processes it, in Word
or another typing document and it comes back altered.
(That’s not my fault when this happens, after like, 34 posts
suddenly ‘one’ individual can’t access the characters!)

Oh, but it’s not just me…
It happens lots of times to lots of others in diffrent threads…
I can site references- but I'm goin’ off to dinner now…

Personally, I think it's a bit of an affectation and I don't think you
should expect other people to fix the messes for you.

Your silly Larry.      =)
I don’t ‘expect’ anything…
And It’s not my mess.
(Oh, like I should be held accountable for the few individuals
who use a program that’s limited in it’s character recognition!)

I'd rather you just stuck to normal characters instead of trying to see how
many different ones you can use, it's much more polite to your readership,
don't you think?

I understand and respect your point…
It’s just that plain text is sooooo boring!
(Yes, I'm aware that it’s the content that counts.)
BUT,
A nicely formulated post with a few snazzy
characters can only enhance the overall letter IMHO.

                                Thanks for the reply,

                                                           --==Richard==--

P.S.

I'd rather you just stuck to normal characters

But characters are a matter of expression which personalizes the post.
How far should this ‘normal character’ use be implemented?
Perhaps those who use ++ should also refrain from such frivolous use.
                                                                         ;)
(Cause anything ‘normative’ is simply relative to an individuals perspective.
Perhaps there are those out there who disagree with any post that isn't
alphabetic... aka  the giddy use of symbols:    '++'  )

(...) [I've manually translated the special characters to what I see.] (...) Yes, it is your mess. You *know* you are making postings that show up bad for many readers, and yet you choose to continue to post that way. (...) Its called "standards". (...)
