The packets are more of a free bonus, really. Sort of a fun thing to get.
And, I imagine, a lot of work to generate. (there's printing the stickers,
printing the envelope labels, stuffing the envelopes etc. etc.)
I expect there probably are people that would be willing to do the work of
sending them out to folks if a list of addresses and suchlike was supplied.
However that suggestion itself may well be a logistical nightmare, I really
haven't thought it through, just tossed it out.
If you haven't gotten a packet, don't despair, the community will be the
same with or without one being in your hands. Your participation is the most
important part of your membership.
