  Re: Pause Set Lists

(...) I do this too, to keep track of information like what sets I have, what I paid for them, what I have instructions for, and what's missing pieces. (I also split Theme and Subtheme so it's easier to filter on a whole theme.) I keep it in Excel, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Links to parts inventories

It occurred to me that it might be helpful if there were links to the parts inventories to respective sets in the database. It took me a long time to learn that parts inventories existed and even longer to find them on Lugnet (not that they were (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: Idea for automatic Lugnet Set Database linking

(...) [snip] (...) [snip] Actually, you answered your own issue about the most convenient way to specify set numbers and eliminate false positives: check for "#" followed by two or more digits! This does, admittedly, still expose a false positive (...) (25 years ago, 16-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish, lugnet.admin.database)

  Pause Set Lists

This little instructions sheet (Tow Truck) turned up against hope. Scanned and sent it. Pause previously had a link to the other 372 (Texas Rangers) for instructions. OK, I see Pause has been updated that quick. Yeah! Never mind! -Erik still faintly (...) (25 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Set additions / updates

I believe he uses the "catalog year" the set first appeared in the US. That may or may not be the same as the copyright on the box, or the copyright on the instructions. KL (...) (25 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Set additions / updates

Some updates for the set database from info I got from a lot of sealed sets I got from 1979-82: NOTE: I'm not sure if the date listed on Lugnet represents the year available in the US or the year of the copyright on the package. The dates I've (...) (25 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

(...) year (...) Where did this come from? I haven't seen anything that says "Futbol" in the catalog, and frankly, I don't think Lego would be dumb enough to refer to the soccer sets this way in the US. It would create way to much confusion. OK, I have looked at the new catalog in some detail but I can't see where everybody is getting the label "Futbol" for these sets. I am obviously overlooking (...)
