  Re: Neato

(...) heh, no, there was no annoucement :) (...) heh, thanks :) The original idea was from James' inventory pages though... (...) not that I know, but from what I can tell, db.inv is supposed to act like an informat database of inventories, while (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Neato

I dunno if this was announced or if this was a "stealth enhancement" or what. But I gotta say this latest "what years did the color appear in?" clickable grid is Super Way Cool. (URL) when you click on the blue 96 square you get (URL) Thanks, (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.admin.database)

1390 Maku (McDonald's Promotional Bionicle Set)

I forgot to cross-post this. This set is not in the database. As with the others, I can scan in the polybag if you want it. (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

1393 Matoro (McDonald's Promotional Bionicle Set)

Here's an inventory of the 1393 McDonald's Promotional Bionicle set using Peeron numbers and names. This was done from a unopened package so I think I got everything correct. There are a couple problems though. For one, I'm not a Technic OR Bionicle (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: 1389 Onepu (McDonald's Promotional Bionicle Set)

I agree with most of the names you chose, but... (...) I would call this "Technic Bionicle Tohunga torso". "Torso" to distinguish it from other body segments that may appear, "Tohunga" to distinguish it from the Toa torso. BTW, great job of finding (...)   1389 Onepu (McDonald's Promotional Bionicle Set)

Here's an inventory of the 1389 McDonald's Promotional Bionicle set using Peeron numbers and names. This was done from a unopened package so I think I got everything correct. The only problem is I'm not a Technic OR Bionicle person so I had no idea (...) (23 years ago, 8-Sep-01, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: box front picture for 4158

(...) We prefer jpeg images. We don't have a special size requirement, but some files can be as big as 100k. It really depends upon the quality of the scan and the amount of details in the image. Send us the biggest file that's convenient for you. (...) (23 years ago, 6-Sep-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

  box front picture for 4158

I picked up several copies of 4158 yesterday. This set is missing the picture in the lugnet guide. I just dropped the box on my scanner and scanned the box front. What size and image type do you want ? Who do I send it to ? Ray (23 years ago, 6-Sep-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

small error in the lugnet database

set 1491 is listed as crusaders. It should be listed under black knights since both minifigures are from that theme. (23 years ago, 1-Sep-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: What should an inventory include?

Just an add-on question to the previous one: Is there any reason that the LUGNET set guide does not link to any inventories? I'm a bit biased towards the Peeron inventories simply because they seem to be the most up-to-date and best maintained (as (...) (23 years ago, 5-Aug-01, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Database Piece Count

(...) This could be a zen-ish question, but do you mean inaccurate, or insufficiently precise? I think that there are situations where knowing that something is 800 +/- 100 is very useful in the general case (as long as it's ACCURATE, that is, as (...)   Re: Database Piece Count

(...) I may be wrong, but methinks the only reason you jumped in here in the first place was because you thought it would make you look cool to talk about it because you've got special stuff set up for you and other people don't, and because you (...)   Re: Database Piece Count

(...) I agree, and more importantly, it gives things a higher probability of being double-checked, since everything is more visible, which is one of the reasons this newsgroup exists. A real ticket system with groupware stuff would be much better, (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

(...) It wouldn't work. It would get blocked. (...) Actually there are lots and lots of them, and there have been since 1994, but they tend not to stay up for very long, or have access restrictions, or aren't very flexible. (...) I get bcc'd on (...)   Re: Database Piece Count

(...) No, you're the only one using it. A couple of years ago it was used by ldraw.org -- I wrote a simple remailer for Terry Keller to use for parts voting when the one he had been using at some other site suddenly went dead. I took that and (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Database Piece Count

(...) Kyle, I totally agree and always hoped to have something like this in place...never got around to it...it's a big task, but as Larry pointed out, it could be done in smaller steps. (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: adding minitalia to set ref

Re: adding minitalia to set ref

(...) Sure, but I don't have your schedule handy ;) (...) I don't know the particular distinction other than on the boxes for the system ones, it says system underneath and the others don't.. Themes aren't my specialty. (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.admin.database)
