  Re: Curator change requests

(...) Actually, no, at least not as I understand it. The addition of a subgroup curator does not suppress the person who curates the supergroup. Multiple people can be curator over the same group, and the curator of loc (Joshua Delahunty, to be (...) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: FTX functions?

(...) I assume the lack of response means there isn't :( I'd be happy to write up a page to go in the FTX guide, if I had a list of these functions. ROSCO (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator change requests

(...) OK that seems logical. (...) Yep, unless the subgroup has a different curator, eg lugnet.loc.au. (...) Ahhhhhh that would explain the lack of foo. (...) In view of the above, I see no out-of-datedness, just happened to notice the one example (...) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator change requests

(...) This is updated automatically, if I understand it correctly, not by hand. (...) You won't find mention of subgroups (being curator of .org, for example, means that you're also curator of everything under .org), nor will you find mention of (...)   Re: Curator change requests

(...) Do you also have access to update the curator list (URL) ? Just wondering cos it seems a little out of date (no mention of foo LOL) ROSCO (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: admin change

(...) It works in large for Usenet, so it should work for LUGNET too... don't see any big problems with it. Perhaps build in a safety check in the web interface ("do you *REALLY* wish to delete this post" or some similair nonsense ;) ) -- Jan-Albert (...)   Re: admin change

<<snip>> (...) I can do this on GMT-time if the requests are posted to either a SPAM-free e-mail adress (yeah, right) or a newsgroup (don't know how this works since I have not needed it myself - *knock on wood*). <<snip>> (...) I'm afraid that (...) (21 years ago, 1-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator for lugnet.org?

(...) Thanks for the heads up but this probably is better suited to email to cut down on traffic in the list. (I was just scrolling back through admin.curators looking for curator requests that might have been missed. It's a hard slog since someone (...) (21 years ago, 1-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator for lugnet.org?

(...) Oh blather... I made you curator of lugnet.lugnet.org... I wish Lugnet could make up it's mind whether the leading lugnet is necessary or not... Try it now... Incidentally, you can check who is curator of what here (note that none of these (...) (21 years ago, 1-Oct-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Curator for lugnet.org?

(...) Posted too soon ... I went to lugnet.org, and didn't see the 'edit this page' button at the bottom of the sidebar. Refreshed the page, nothing. Logged out and back in, nothing. Refreshed again, nothing. I'm headed out for a couple hours, but (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-03, to lugnet.admin.curators)
