Have a curator for robotics/rcx/legos ? and... —Stephen M. Moraco
Admins, Our info at legOS could use some "tuning". Who's our curator (I'm assumming that's who would do this)? If we don't have one I'd like to volunteer. I'm the current release manager for legOS/brickOS. Which brings up the next subject. Our name (...) (22 years ago, 17-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)

Stephen, (...) I'd gladly second that (self-)nomination! (...) I would consider keeping the old group and creating a new one for brickOS.    (...) As (...) I would prefer to see a single newsgroup for several reasons. brickOS is a morphing or molting from legOS if you will not a diverging or evolutionary different creation (i.e. it is only a name change). brickOS and legOS are the same (...)      having some sort of forwarding mechanism from the old legos group to the new brickos newsgroup IMHO would be the best solution for old and new customers :) old users, use the new brickos newsgroup, new users, who still think its called legos, gets (...)       (...) I believe there are, or at least were, some technical problems around just changing the name of a group. So perhaps having the old name group stick around is the better approach. That group could even be locked for posting, perhaps, (with some (...) (22 years ago, 20-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Last time I talked to Todd about this, it was in ref to the .publish.cinema group becomming .animation. He had a plan for trying out with that group first, before moving a .robotics group up in the hierarchy (a bigger move). I'd imagine all (...)
