I did a quick Search within google and came up with these two threads
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&th=ec2b
7285975f8052&seekm=5frshg%243ag%241%40news.du.etx.ericsson.se&frame=off
which gives a step by step procedure for transferring news postings from one
newsgroup to another (at end of thread). And the other thread
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&th=2b50
0444f2aab7a8&seekm=1992Feb17.183257.18361%40julian.uwo.ca&frame=off
talks about a hack to the NNTP code which does a redirect of message to
another newsgroup. Too bad this is not part of the NNTP standard (although
I could see the real havoc it would cause!).
