Re: PP 1444 X, my P-38 contest entry

Ley this is a great ship. I really like the slide-open cockpit and arch-insets in the wings. Like Paul, I'm not feeling the P-38 vibe on this one, but it is cool nonetheless. The only aspect of the ship I didn't like was the drive-dingus that hangs (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) I'd advise against it. The design, as it stands, is very innovative and just plain cool. Who cares if it isn't P-38ish? This is maybe your best moc so far, and, i think, your most ambitious. (...) Hi Ley, It's a clever design with some cool ideas, I particularly like the domed-cylinder-throu...the-arches thing. It seems like too radical a departure from the P-38 design to be a competitive entry, though. Is there a prize for the most (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

5 Years of 'OBB' Classic Space Layouts

Hi. It's been awhile. From what I've seen, Moonbase is more or less dead, and more or less dead at Lego conventions. I'm sorry to hear this, Jon. I've always been a huge fan of Moonbase and think it should live on. I'm an editor at Wetpaint, a platform that hosts free wiki sites, and I'd be happy to help you set up a collaborative Moonbase site if you like. It (...) (16 years ago, 12-Aug-09, to lugnet.space)
