(...) In terms of using specific elements as incentive to buy more sets, it certainly is a trend. They finally picked up on a complaint that the Star Wars fans have been voicing for ten years, which is that we wanted a wider variety of minifigs. Now (...)   Re: Lego Truck in Wellington

(...) And here I thought the 1x16 bricks were something of a juniorization -- they make it easier to build, are kind of bulky, and make it harder to modify. I tried to add a trailer hitch without replacing those 1x16 bricks, the best I came up with (...) (26 years ago, 22-Mar-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Mega bloks compatible?

(...) Even better than that, Best-Lock has some 1x1 and 1x2 bricks with side studs; given the 20LDU height, you can stack several of these and make a secure perpedicular mounting surface for bricks. The colors aren't too far off LEGO true, so some (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: NEW: MLCAD V2.10

Completely different. The rotate feature generates a model out of bricks by rotating an outline. For example, give it a semicircle, and it will generate plans for a sphere made out of bricks. Oh, I get the gist of your concern, because I have it too. After reading Todd's message, I was no less cynical about TLG than before, as this is just a narrow software focus, having nothing to do with The Brick. When they start dialogue about (...) (25 years ago, 7-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Considering parting out 2 4561s

  Re: Billund Building question

(...) The curved parts are 1x2 bricks, which have enough of a gap to be flexed into a curve. The curved section is 60+ studs across, although it's wonderfully scaled, so it's not easy to tell that it's that big. Each of the windows appears to be ~10 (...)
