Re: Do you need plates or/and 1x? bricks?

(...) I'm interested in buying these, my wants page has my prices. But it's not economical for me to buy them at auction, too much time spent on it, as the quantities I want are large, and managing 20 lots of 10 pieces each isn't worth the bother. (...) They are useful to some but not to me. I use the stock buffer and magnet holder in most all of my designs. The few places where I don't (the nose of big red, for example), I have enough. John Neal might be interested in them, though. (25 years ago, 27-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: How many bricks are there in a lego set?

(...) Really?!? I just ordered two 6441 sets. I was a bit puzzled to see that the piece count, which the LUGNET database lists as 433, was *not* on the outside of the box as I'm used to seeing. Both boxes were the same -- no piece count. So, TLG (...) (25 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)

In the case of TLG products, what actual benefit to consumers is this law providing? All sets with 100 pieces are not somehow fungible, the pieces are different from one set design to the next. As usual, a hard to read law that ultimately is (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.general)
