Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

(...) Jude- I agree absolutely! Make C3PIO with gold film bricks (there's GOT to be a solution) and put some electronics in R2 so that his head turns, lights, and he converses with C3PIO in their classic Laurel and Hardy banter with C3PIO talking (...)   Self-brew flexible bricks and silent motor for Lego NXT

In the context of my study Industrial Design at the TU/e I have developed a 'natural animation' expansion pack for Lego® Mindstorms® NXT. My goal was to create an actuator and brick that stimulate natural animation and are useful for the creation of (...) (17 years ago, 12-Jan-08, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Long Span Suspension Bridge?

(...) Yeah, after I built this I realized that I had the technic pins at the top too far apart and should move them each in slightly to form a triangle. Right now the track and track bed are supporting most of the load I think. I pulled out my old (...) (17 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Long Span Suspension Bridge?

I've found the deck can be pretty insubstantial; even in minifig scale, the truss carries the weight. The Notre Dame Bridge is about 320 studs long and has been up for over a year now: (URL) At least, I have heard no news of its collapse. It can (...)   Tiny Cartman Mosaic, mostly from set 6163

I was bored yesterday, and decided to finally put my recent clearance purchase (set #6163) from Target to use, making a (small 16x16) Eric Cartman Mosaic: (2 URLs) All the pieces (except the tan pieces) are from the 6163 set.   Re: Couple of queries with LDD exporting  [DAT]

(...) Right, done that and got rid of the errors, thanks for pin-pointing the location. Strangely all the 'missing' primitives were already in the .mpd file. I've also got rid of 553.dat There does seem to be a strangeness about 30367.dat (Cylinder (...) (17 years ago, 23-Jan-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Couple of queries with LDD exporting  [DAT]

I have exported one of the Hobby train models from LDD into LDraw format, and done some tweaking on it, (missing parts and re-ordering for instructions) I have tried to include all unofficial parts in the .mpd to make it properly compatible with a (...)   tiny house (half timber) and child

Hello all, Our son Hillel was born on Dec. 30, 2007. In the couple of weeks before his birth, I seized on the notion of building a tiny house out of Lego.   End effector that can "feel"
