Re: U.S.S. Missouri (for real this time!)

(...) Lindsay - it's always nice to hear you opinions and thoughts. Being so busy with my work this past year and a hald has left me starved for building / discussion, obsessing over the brick. I think I'm finally "over" my pissed-offedness about (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Evolution of the minifig

Hi Bruce (...) It looks really very good, I think. The only (minor!) thing I think would make a neat addition would be a nod at the ever-increasing number of colours in which minifig parts are available. A 1978 group shot vs. a 2005 one would be (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Rights to Spiderman..

Megablocks have the comic rights. Lego have the film rights. Lego can only produce sets relevant to the films, megablocks can't reference the films only the comics.   Next Studfest, WH40k? (was Re: Sydney Studs Meet this Sunday 13 March - Woo Hoo!)

In lugnet.loc.au, Richie Dulin wrote more about the last fest. There was talk about a possible opportunity for the end of April at Quakers Hill, along Warhammer 40,000 lines. I have been enjoying the Warhammer challenge. I'm pretty happy with my new (...) (20 years ago, 21-Mar-05, to lugnet.loc.au)

(...) I love when you post new stuff because it always inspires me to build. Everybody liked how you got the curved edge to follow the wedge plate, and that's also the first thing I noticed, but on my second pass I picked up a lot of good technique (...) I might borrow with permission, but I'd never rip off. That's just not nice.) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, FTX)

  Re: Track side power polls.

(...) Why don't we take a poll? We could call it a "pole poll"! I think that real poles tend to be about the size of a person's head, and thus 1x1 rounds are a bit too small and 2x2 rounds a bit too big, and minifig heads a bit too wavy (it waves in (...) Very nice! But I dunno - you might need longer ceiling fan blades to circulate the air in that large of a room. :-) I'd love to be able to see this kind of thing in a Quicktime VR file. Wonder how hard that is... James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, FTX)
