  Re: SCLTC FRRD 2005 Photos

This is one of those photo galleries that makes me depressed (wait!) but also spurs me on to do Lego stuff. I look at it and think, I could never do that, but of course its not just the work of one person and if I work as part of a team I CAN do it! (...)   TexLUG Austin 5/8 meeting report

All, Attending the 5/8 Texlug Austin meeting were: Kurt Baty Ed Southerland Tim Rueger A low-key meeting this time (the weather was highly inclement, and it was Mother's Day), but we still had a fine time. Ed brought a neat minifig forestman with a (...) (19 years ago, 11-May-05, to lugnet.org.us.texlug, lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus, lugnet.loc.us.tx)

  modern non-minifig Pirate sets?

OK, newbie here, please excuse my newbie questions... I've recently come to realize how cool the classic LEGO pirate sets are. But lately, all I see in the catalog are things like set 7075 (URL), with overgrown figures with bumpy faces. My questions (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.pirates)

  Minifig-scale Motorcycle

Hey legohaulics! Here is a MOC of mine, a bike scaled well to a minifig. Motorcycles are one of the harder things to build in legos, and I think I captured it fairly well. The chopper does seat a minifig, and has a fair amount of chrome, and plenty (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-05, to lugnet.announce.moc) !

(...) Hi Teddy! No, though that would be cool! As is is, I'm going to have to paint goatees on plain minifig faces to make the grooms. (...) Ya, every time someone trashes Jake for not looking out for us, I remember that set. Pretty slick move. So slick, I'm willing to forgive Jake for finagling his own minifig. (URL) or (URL) WHO can POSSIBLY say that isn't a minifig Jake??? (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) Cute set, but I question the 'play value'. No minifig, nothing to put *into* the containers, no crane to load and unload them -- it's just something to go around the track.
