I would suggest using Blender and import the mpd into if (LDraw
Importer) and then alk him through that. It's really much less difficult
then it seems.

Hi Folks,

I've got a 10 year old student who wants to create an animated minifig.  He
wants to create an animated gif by posing the minifig into a walking motion.

Moving the arms and legs are easier while in the minifig generator.
Unfortuantely, as soon as he saves one pose, he's out of the minifig generator!

So, he either needs a way to reload an mpd into the minifig generator or figure
out how to manually rotate the compound parts in the mpd.  I've been trying to
show him how to rotate in the MLCAD panels, but not so much luck.

QUESTION : How does one reload an mpd into the minifig generator?

(...) Thanks! I'll look into the Blender thing and also grouping parts in MLCAD. I meet with this class every Thursday, so I have a week! (19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
