Re: not editing old news articles

(...) That was what I meant, and I think that you SHOULD go in and edit the automated posts to get things right. Don't leave misinformation where it can confuse. If you want to ensure that the historical record is accurate, use revision marks or (...) (26 years ago, 28-Mar-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Pallas Spaceworks Product Announcement

Just adding to the general level of gushing, but I must say that a design like the Orion that actually has an interior modeled, but still is structurally sound, is about the cats pajamas in my book. When is the Pallas Spaceworks IPO, I want to buy (...) (26 years ago, 28-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: VERY BAD Experience at Zany Brainy Lancaster, PA

(...) Whoops, sorry! I meant Consumer Affairs, the TLG organisation that "makes things right" when customers have problems. 'Tis a standard abbreviation in these parts but not to everyone. Sorry about that. Call S@H for their number if you don't (...) (26 years ago, 28-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Yes. But to keep number of categories, and name length, down to size, perhaps just "Maintenance" or "Maintenance Equipment"? That latter category includes all the sets that MOW Vehicles does, PLUS the washrack (which presumably, (because I'm (...) (26 years ago, 28-Mar-99, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.trains)

Re: Lugnet clone handling? (was: Re: LEGO clone auction)

(...) Just putting my oar in here, and it's probably tangential.. but I don't see these brands as quite the same examples. While some could argue that Pepsi(r) is a knockoff, I don't think Pepsi historians would agree. And the other two pairings (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Lugnet clone handling? (was: Re: LEGO clone auction)

(...) I'd say look to the canonical trademark dilution examples. In each of the following, the first is the trademarked name brand, the others are imitators. And in each case, the trademark was either almost lost because people tried to use the (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Trip Report

Tom's friend Brian posted a very long and detailed one to RTL. perhaps he can be persuaded to repost it here? I thought it was excellent. And that's just not because my name was mentioned, either. (26 years ago, 29-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sd)

  Re: newbie question

I'm not from around here and I can't make sense of these, or of the map, they assume too much shared context (like which direction is north, where downtown is, etc.). Assume I'm starting out (...)
