Whoops, sorry! I meant Consumer Affairs, the TLG organisation that
"makes things right" when customers have problems. 'Tis a standard
abbreviation in these parts but not to everyone. Sorry about that. Call
S@H for their number if you don't have it handy (but I think it's
printed in most any catalog).

That seems fair enough... IF the remaining parts, in the condition they
are in, are worth that to you. If not, explain the situation, and press
politely for a refund, perhaps with a bit extra thrown in to make up for
the drive.
