  Rack spacing problem

I have a technic problem that I would like to put out for advice. I am trying to drive a sliding "carriage" via a 24t gear over a rack. Something like this: worm ---- motor 24t gear rack That is, the motor drive the worm overhead. The worm engages (...) (24 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Solar panels, capacitor

In the latest SAH catalog (Fall 2001, rec'd today in Massachusetts), in the Mindstorms section, there are two "new" parts. One is a solar panel, and the other is a capacitor. I know these are former/current Dacta items. The page also says to go to (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  LEGO cheat on LEWA graphic

My 11-year-old son noticed something in the A4 sheet which accompanied the Bionicle Lewa (the Green one). The sheet has the designation 4130831. I just decided to post a "everyone please calm down" message when yours came through. I am pleased that someone, somewhere, moved to stop the alarm. Of course, I wish I knew what they said!   Re: Pure Energy & the RCX

I fully concur. They seem to work well initially, but managing a set of them is fraught with peril. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a "bad battery" tester. But there isn't. So some freak battery that isn't cutting it gets in your pack, and you (...) (25 years ago, 17-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Bi*nicle folks went away?

I personally think the objections to Bionicle here is the storyline side, not the building side. The storyline just has little interest in those of us who are not into the fantasy aspect of LEGO.
