  Re: lugnet.cad hierarhcy

(...) How strongly do you really feel about that? It seems to me that all one has to do to find the source is to climb to the top of the thread tree, which can be done by looking for the absence of "Re:" in the Subject line, or by clicking the (...)   Move function

Based on some recent activity and some not so recent, this suggestion is just a note that a thread move function would be useful. (it's believed to be terrifically hard to implement moving posts on the current LUGNET infrastructure) The posted (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  8480 Space Shuttles in MA

Adam -- I find it hard to believe that the Kingston MA TRU store had run out, because I was there the same day, June 30th 1999, and they had 9 sets (8 after I left the store 8-) The price was about $138 ($129.99 plus tax).   Re: IR header - A Detailed Explanation

Several posts have speculated about the use and necessity of the "header" bytes used by standard RCX messaging. Hopefully this post provides definitive information on the topic. The ROM firmware uses a 30 milli-second inter-character timer. If if is (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  GPS for RCX

The standard RCX firmware with its serial protocol could not talk to a GPS, but LegOS could. With LegOS and a GPS we could make robots that could tell where they were. This would be way cool. OK, I admit it. I'm a compartmentalized dork. I would prefer messages like this (see below) to appear in one group. Yet, reading the charters for all three groups, there's nothing that directs Ben to choose one group over the other two, so he posts (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)
