  Re: Bulk Bricks at LLCA

(...) Oh geeze, you're killing me here! This makes me wish I lived a LOT closer to LLCA!! So, all I need is someone who lives in the Carlsbad area (and has a season pass to LL) to be my new *best friend*... <grin> JohnG, GMLTC (22 years ago, 13-Mar-03, to lugnet.legoland.california)

(...) That's why the rest of the world just sits back and *watches*, while the genius Lego builders (& programmers!) of RTL Toronto come up with amazing solutions to problems the rest of us would be scared to even attempt... Me? I'll stick to (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Reissue 7740 as legend?

(...) Definitely one of the best train sets ever! I know I'd buy a couple (more)... *grin* A question to the .trains crowd: Might Lego change the 7740 before rereleasing it? Perhaps (this is just a random though) change the grey to dark grey? JohnG, (...) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Brickfest PDX train display - call for contributers

(...) I'll just ask that you keep a loop or two "8-wide compatible", for those of us bringing 8-wide trains & rolling stock. Otherwise, I'll just plan on running my 'Challenger' and wiping out anything too close to the track... ;-) JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 12-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Lego Playmobil-like figures at McDonalds

(...) Oh, that's just so wrong... The only thing even remotely good about them is the fact that you can mix and match the pieces. But, will those pieces work with our existing bricks? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't! <sigh> JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Is this legal?

(...) It seems pretty iffy to me, especially the part where he claims copyright! Perhaps he is claiming copyright on the stuff he wrote, that's fine - but he makes it sound like he is claiming copyright on everything, including the instructions for (...)   Re: MOC: Pacific Coast Shay #2

(...) Oh my, that is one fine looking locomotive & tender. Great job! I'd love to see and hear it run - with all those gears it must make a great sound. Now, to build a couple flat cars hauling logs behind it, right? <grin> JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) I usually put motor(s) on blue, and lights on red. So each channel controls one train. I'm mostly concerned with all the kids who bring "guest trains", I want to make sure they can run their trains without interfering with ours. JohnG, GMLTC (10 years ago, 10-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

Now, you'll need a bigger layout! ;-) JohnG, GMLTC (19 years ago, 14-Dec-05, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.town, lugnet.castle, FTX)
