Re: YAL: Yet Another Loader :)

(...) Try viewing it with LDLite or L3Lab. The minifig was made using LDao's Minifig Modeler, which spits out code with LDLite language extensions. MLCAD and L3P don't recognize the LDLite commands, so they render incorrectly. BTW: the newest (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Sheriff's torso - Original town element

To all who have an interest: I am in the process of developing an original minifig torso for anyone's law enforcement officer. On paper, the original concept uses a 6-pointed star (for my Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane proposals), but I think any badge (...) (25 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: 8 vs. 6 (was: Excited to Finally be here...)

IMHO you have a choice of throwing out the minifig scale and create a nice "relatively" scale model of rolling stock (as per TLGs modelers) ((and forget about running it on the track)) or create a nice looking model in minifig "scale" and enjoy (...) (25 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

bridge designs for big space MOCs

I was wondering how some of the minifig spaceship creators here like designing their ship bridges. Most Lego ships only have small one-man cockpits, with a little computer console or some levers. My own ship under construction, the Nautilus ((URL) (...) (25 years ago, 8-Feb-00, to lugnet.space)

Interesting article in new Adventurers magazine

Just for a change, there's something interesting in it. An article about desiging the Arctic sets. Apparently work started in 1987, and again in 1996 - and there's pictures of models (that never surfaced) from both previous attemps. Also, very cool, (...) What amazes me the most about your models is the way you incorporate the minifigs in them and still have the models look nicely scaled.
