  Re: legend choices

(...) That's the thing, I s'pose. There are those who want legends so they can stick it in an alcove, build a shrine and surround it with burning incense sticks, and then there are those of us who just consider them as glorified parts-packs. Since I (...) (23 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: You get to choose! (first none-"Wow"-answer)

Yes, I would agree...the legends and re-issues are all super. They are the ONLY new sets (other than a few Star Wars and Harry Potter sets) that I have purchased since '97. LEGO, are you listening? Like many others, I have spent thousands of $$ in (...) (23 years ago, 15-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Light Gray Tiles in set #10041

Hello, In set #10041, the LEGO Legends remake of #6390 - 'Main Street', it seems to me that for the rails of the building crane the original parts #812 - 'Train Level Crossing Center Rail Cap Insert' have been replaced by plates with tiles on top of (...)   Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) 2003. By far and away. You have Mindstorms, LEGENDS, bulk bricks, MOC series, licenses, new colors... the list goes on. The past pales in comparison IMO. I really believe that the present is the golden age of LEGO. JOHN (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Riddle me this...

<snip!> (...) Take a look at the thread from back in December when Brad Justus was asking the Lugnet community about the Legends series, and what the next one might be. I think there was a lot of enthusiasm about releasing the Galaxy Explorer as a (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: What if Steve Jobs ran The LEGO Company?

(...) It's interesting how we have made action figures out of industrial legends. We imagine new adventures for them, going on to command such-and-such a ship, turning the world inside out, or just repeating the favorite hero moves to comic effect. (...)   Re: Is "traditional" Technic being killed off?

(...) I wasn't really suggesting it for the LEGENDS series, but rather presenting it as an example of a small scale, small piece count Technic set that could retail for less than $120. Way way less than $120. (...) Of course it's blocky.... it's (...) (23 years ago, 19-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Apocryphal Blacktron

(...) Well, considering that we couldn't even get LEGO to build us that Legends Battrax, this does not surprise me. We Blacktronians must maintain our fleet with what we can it seems. After all, are we not pirates? Grand work. I'll buy 100 when (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

So ya want a 'Legend', eh? was Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

(...) Well, it wasn't in the list, but if you want a true 'legend' from the past that shouldn't be too difficult to do, here's my favourite set pre-1979-- (URL) a beautiful set in its simplicity and elagance.
