Re: Petition to Lego for more Legends

(...) In spirit, it sounds like a good plan. However, I like a balance of <new> stuff vs <old, classic> stuff. The kind of approach you are talking about would require Lego to stop ALL other production, and concentrate on ONLY on Legends for the (...) (23 years ago, 20-Apr-02, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: Classic legends? legendary classics?

(...) I think Classics will end up in limited retail in some countries, S@H only in US, but Brad can comment more. (...) Note the Classics use full-color boxes - much more expensive, which means they'll be producing a LOT more of those sets in order (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: More opinions needed - possible future Legends

(...) Oops, um, nevermind. I should have checked a picture first. So, I started thinking of legends I'd like to see and 565 Lunar Lander and 371 Sea Plane came to mind, but they have gray jets and a gray propeller respectively. So, again, nevermind. (...)   Space legends, my thoughts...

Lets face some facts: 1.we cant get classic space helmets and 2.TLC/LD isnt going to be dumb enough to do classic space with new figs and/or new-type helments (it would look ugly, I tried to put some futuron figs in my Walking Astro Grappeler and it (...)   Re: Meta-Legends?

(...) If there's a market for things like the Statue of Liberty sculpture, I believe there's a market for similarly-priced sets that are more traditional Lego System sets. Of course, the non-Star Wars sculptures have largely disappeared - so maybe (...) (22 years ago, 27-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.theory, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: legends space set, my thoughts as to the reasoning based on what brad has said

(...) Well, Brad Justus (Senior VP of Lego Direct) spoke to this issue a little bit at BricksWest, and the understanding that I took from that is pretty much exactly what Jonathan was describing. It's for marketing reasons, not because of any (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Future Castle Legends Survey

(...) I agree with those two as well as someone else suggest about 6077. I'd also like to see (yeah, I know, I'm breaking the three set limit but I don't want to just be a "me to" guy here): 6061, the Siege Tower. Castle walls in the modular form (...) 6077 Knight's Procession - six of the coolest generic knights around! 6060 Knight's Challenge - two horse bardings, a peasant, two white dome pieces, etc. 6080 King's Castle - my favorite Castle set. IMHO, the best Lego designed Castle ever. Jimmy (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Future Castle Legends Survey

(...) I was going to say 6061 Seige Tower. I'd rather have the Seige Tower than the Battering Ram from the sets, but from an overall point, I like the more complete wall and tower from the 6062 and extra figs. I'd be happy with either.
