| | New purchase of track and it's colour.
| Just some heads-up info for those that would like to know. I purchased for my son for Christmas the Harry Potter train set and a box of curves from a local store (Leicester UK) and some extra track, 3 boxes of straights and a box of points, from (...) | | Re: New train set?
| Well if you look at the first part that goes over building the engine, you will notice that it shows sliding the 9v wheels onto the axel, then placeing them in the holder. So obviously it is a new set, how it ended up online before it's anocement (...) (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.inst, FTX)

The infamous Chinese "Bricks" company has made several knock-offs of LEGO sets, and have lost several legal cases, but they also make their own legal military sets, with excellent designs and pretty high quality bricks, matching the MB quality (...) | (...) Yellowing may not just be due to sun. A few years back, I opened some sealed sets that were from the 70s. They had yellowed blue bricks (but not all the blue bricks), so I assume there are other causes of yellowing than just UV damage (and the (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.general)

| | 12v track cleaning solution!
| Hi Folks, Posts are regularly made about how to keep 12V conductor rails clean, as the motor bogie does not like much dirt. My solution is to use a 'Relco' unit, as sold for use on model railways. It requires a 16v AC supply. The Lego controller's (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.trains)
