Re: Strong smoke smell on parts

(...) That was my feeling too. I started off trying the vinegar-in-a-container thing, but the smoky bricks now smell like smoke and vinegar; at best the smoke smell has diminished only a little bit. When I get to washing them I'll make sure to do a (...) (15 years ago, 7-Feb-10, to lugnet.general)

Re: "Dither" colors in patterned/sticker parts

(...) Two things. First of all, is Maersk Blue hard-coded into any part files? I would expect parts that show up in Maersk Blue to have color 16 encoded in the file, and the user to select Maersk Blue as the parts' color when building a model. Since (...)   Re: Cleaning Lego

Hello, my recomendation is to use a thick blush makeup brush. I use them for dusting off my models. They work well and do not scratch trans elements like canopies and windows. They also conform to the studs and clean them well. (URL) Like the one (...) (19 years ago, 16-Apr-06, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: When is Lego actually considered old?

(...) Ahhhhhh yessssss...... old LEGO. Cellulose Acetate was the material used in LEGO from the mid 50's thru 1963, although I have seen a few pieces it in sets as recent as 1966. Here's a rule of thumb, if it doesn't fit well, it's probably CA. If (...) (24 years ago, 21-Sep-00, to lugnet.general)

  Next BUG meet Trades

Hi all, I'll be (hopefully) a new member for the BUGs and just want to let it be known that I have a few really OLD minifigs (circa 1986-1992) that include town (firemen?), train and space minifigs if anyone wants them. I'll most likely want to (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.loc.au.qld.bri)

Patch 10: This works for me under Cygwin with a USB tower, but some of the files such as rcx_comm.c have a bit of platform-specific code. Znap was designed by Lego to be fully integrateable with system elements. The znap stud circumference is tangent to a brick stud circumference at the 4 cardinal points, meaning you can mount a system brick on a znap connector stud. The height of a (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jan-10, to lugnet.znap)
