  Trip to UK

I'm back from my holiday in UK, and I'm sorry, Steve, I found no Shell sets at all :-( I did, however, find some Soccer Starter sets at 14.99 UK sterling pounds at a TRU in Preston, just south of Blackpool - my 8 yr old son (...)   Thoughts on 1999 Train Sets

Here's my opinion on the new sets (in descending order) 1. 4519 Cross track. Very cool. Really the only 99 set that is in the same league as the original 1991 train sets. A Must Buy 2. 4557 Container Crane. Nice set, with almost no Town Jr (...) (26 years ago, 4-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

If I had the chance to send a message to the folks at your company, it would be in the form of two questions: 1) Did the focus groups understand the potential ramifications of their decisions? (...) Another interesting one I noticed. Apparently in LEGOworld people are really tall. Notice the 11 1/3 M clearance label on the crane? I'm pretty sure the clearance is 11 bricks and one plate... So therefore, 1 brick height equals 1 M. Or maybe (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)

Ashley thank you very much for your reply. I realize that it is very hard in todays economy to respond about a company's business and marketing in an open forum.   I'm no longer proud to be an AFOL!

Hi Allen! I've spend 0 Euro for LEGO this year. Normally in the last years I usually spend 1200 Euro a year. And I will continue this, because I don't need nor want discoloured bricks. I have many hobbies and like many other AFOLs I use my money now (...) (21 years ago, 18-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: MegaBloks

(...) Eh, I don't like the Dragon product line. The occasional special piece in a kit is great (Bionicle pushes the limits of good taste, but doesn't break them), the Dragon line is hard to be considered bricks at all.
