Re: A little math cioncerning ships, containers and Minifigs

(...) Excluding all internal supports and bracing, what we are really concerned about is surface area, since that's the brick we see. If an object is scaled up 2 times, its surface area goes up by a factor of 4. Thus, you would need, at minimum, 4 (...) (20 years ago, 19-May-04, to lugnet.lego)

  Sorting

So I parted my first 2004 set into my collection. I'm trying to figure out how to sort out the new greys. Now it was a technic set, and I don't separate technic colours much anyway, but it got me thinking about the future. I discovered, when I threw (...)   Re: 2x4 Brick model?

(...) Since a 2x4 is about 1.25 inches long I guess you'd be looking at a scale of about 1:9.6. So it would probably be just as easy to build it to 9 times original size, or 10 times. I have built a few 'jumbo' bricks like this and they are fairly (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Announcing the MOCC

My Own Castle Competition. We are hereby happy to announce the official castle-building competition for the Castle Room at BrickFest 2004.   Coko castle set on Ebay

(URL) you go.> I don't know the seller, and I won't be bidding. Coko has a few sets very similar to this. I own one of them, but I'm not sure if it's this one. In any case, elements of note are a bunch of 1x4 and 1x2x8 arch bricks, as well as a (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Announcing the MOCC

(...) I don't think item two is accurate. The actual announcement applies the 2304 stud limit to "raised landscaping" on which the castle is built, not generic "surrounding lands", which could include, oh, a green baseplate. This is actually quite a (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jun-04, to lugnet.castle)

All, I've seen many requests as of late to have LEGO release their color names for the specific brick colors. There has also been multiple requests for RGB/CMYK values and specific LEGO part numbers.   Re: Quality issue - update

Thanks for the tip about stacking plate tolerances, Jake. A related effect occurs with some 1x2 bricks (first obvious to me with sand red). The crack between bricks in a wall depends on which way the 1x2 are pointing. One end of each brick is a (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jul-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: challenge: LEGO copier
